For the  month ended June 30, 1970, the trade surplus for the United States of America rose sharply to stand at its greatest level in the past four years, rising to US$466.4 million on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to figures which were released by the Commerce Deparment on July 27, 1970.  (SOURCE:  New York Daily News, July 28, 1970, page 36).
