  •  (NO SPECIFIC DATE):     During this year Queen Anne's War continues in North America. This is a series of battles between the French and their Indian allies on one side and the English colonists and their Indian allies on the other.   • (NO SPECIFIC DATE):    By some time during this year the population of the English town of Deerfield in the English colony of Massachusetts in North America has grown to 260  people. However, according to historian Richard I. Melvoir, the town is "alone and exposed on the frontier" of the British New England colonies, with the nearest English settlement  being fifty miles away.  (Source:  New E ngland Outpost, by Richard I.   • (NO SPECIFIC DATE):    At some time during this year Roman Catholic settlers in Maryland Colony in North America are forbidden to say Mass in that English colony, where the Anglican Church is the established church.   • (NO SPECIFIC DATE):    At some time during this year in England, Sir Isaac Newtron writes, " It seems probable to me that God in the beginning formed matter in solid, massy,hard, impenetrable, movable particles, of such sizes and figures, and with such other properties, and in such proportion to space, as most conduced to the end to which he formed them."   • (NO SPECIFIC DATE):    At some time during this year in Frankfurt, Germany Pastorious' earlier "Geographic Description" of Pennsylvania colony in North America, and Daniel Falckner's earlier "Curious news from Pennsylvania" are combined into a single work by the Frankfort Company, for whom Falckner becomes attorney along with Benjamin Furley.
